Victoria Group on their ten-year experience of using RES at the biomass conference
The international conference SEE ENERGY - Connect&Supply 2016 organized by SERBIO, the National Agency for Biomass, was held on November 15 and 16 in Novi Sad, with the goal of promoting the use of biomass for thermal energy production and the networking of all actors involved in the renewable energy sources (RES) sector. The conference gathered about 200 participants: representatives from around 100 companies from Serbia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Romania and Slovakia, as well as representatives from state institutions, business associations and the banking sector.
During the two-day conference, an overview of the situation in the RES sector and the potential of biomass in the region was given. New perspectives were also presented regarding the use of biomass and innovations in business activities using biomass by means of new technologies and practical examples. There was a particular focus on environmental protection, as well as on creating an environment which would stimulate the development of RES: investments, legal framework and the support of financial institutions.
On behalf of Victoria Logistic, a member company of Victoria Group, Marketing Manager Natalija Kurjak took part in the conference by giving a presentation on the use of agro-pellet and straw. She also shared her ten-year experience of using agricultural biomass as a part of the business operations of Victoria Group: in Sojaprotein and Victoriaoil factories, and at the Victoria Starch pellet plant.
